Dream scene opens where I find myself in a room with 2 other women I work with. One of the women ask me if I have worked with a magnetic tape machine. I told her yes but they were hard to use. I was a data entry operator at the time. Wake just then.

OK, so now I gotta ask (as I *have* worked with tape drives of various sorts, *and* done data entry!)— have you ever worked with one before? or was this a dream right outta left field, so to speak?

The answer is yes to the magnetic tape machine. None of us gals liked imputing information on that machine. Once after imputing information for a couple of hours, I find out the tape was blank. I have no idea what I did wrong.

Did y'all *actually* call it "imputing"? or was that some kind of auto-correct error? (I can hear "inputting" as an expected word.)

Basically, I ran the "incrdmps" (incremental dumps) as well as weekend, monthly, and quarterly backups (from system memory to tape backups) which is why I'm a bit surprised at all these idiot companies paying ransom to "unlock" their databases from hijackers, when all they need to do is a restore-from-backup process, and thus save the $$(5 to 6 digits or more) of ransom.
