in these kind of events overseas, experience can be important.
they were fortunate that the weather allowed them a match today.
impressed by roots innings. a blend of bazball and the 1950s could
be useful.

meanwhile the bangles seem to have 2 players with the same name.
is 1 of them the teenager who took 12 wkts against england in his
1st test some years ago?

Yes (Mehidy Hasan Miraz), except that is was his 2nd Test. He took 6 in the first innings of his 1st Test, but only 1 in the 2nd innings.

The most wides scored (rather than bowled) in an ODI is 52 - India v Kenya in the 1999 World Cup.

If the England/Bangladesh match had been an official ODI, it would barely have made the top 150.

looked that 1 up, tendulkar and dravid both scored 100s but in fact it was the indian
bowlers who were more at fault = 31 wides.

thanks, it doesnt seem a lot when compared to some of these. i notice that 7 out of the top
15 were all from the 1999 WC in england. the umpires must have been very busy. did they
change the rules or instructions to the umpires just before to prevent negative bowling?

It's not really a limit, as if a player is injured you can bring in a
reserve from outside the original 15.

I should have mentioned that the maximum number of players that you can
add is three. Who they would be needn't be specified in advance AIUI,
and England haven't done so, though we know that one is Archer and
another may be Roy.
