An attorney in a district in New York is being probed after she was seen
by an officer�s body camera revealing her violent confrontation with an
officer who stopped her for speeding, requesting he �leave her alone.�
Attorney Sandra Dawley, however, issued an apology a day after the
governor�s remarks.

The camera footage gotten by NBC affiliate WHEC in Rochester reveals the
whole interaction; the officers were only doing their job when they pulled
into the garage where Doley had just parked.

The official, identified by the Democrat and Chronicle as Cameron
Crisafulli, asked Attorney Doorley why she refused to stop despite his
attempts to make her comply by turning on his lights and siren.

During the video, Dolly did not respond to her requests to stay outside
the garage. Ms. Dawley called Webster Police Chief Dennis Kohlmeyer, who
said she planned to call Mr. Crisafulli.

�According to the law, I�m just doing my job,� Crisafulli said. �I�m
having a really bad day,� she said. At last, a supervisor visited her at
home and spoke with Dolly, and Crisafulli eventually gave her a ticket for
speeding. I wish you a nice day,� the officer responded.

Hochu said in a statement Sunday that Dooley�s actions are inconsistent
with her duties as district attorney and undermine her ability to hold
others liable for their violations of the law.�

WHEC reported that Dooley dropped a video apology, stating: She�s sorry
about that. She said, �I did not show respect to the values I have
championed throughout my 33-year career.�

I did not respond and treat the police officer with the utmost respect
that he deserved. All police officers deserve respect.� And it�s worth it.

She said that on getting home from work that day, she was confronted with
three murders that had occurred earlier the previous weekend. �I am still
in shock over the horrific health issues my husband suffered that
afternoon,� she explained.

�However, we all have unpleasant and stressful days. Despite what may have
happened, it was wrong to criticize a police officer who was just doing
his job. I apologized to him, but again, I�m sorry.

She pleaded guilty to speeding, paid the fine, and said she would send the
case to another prosecutor�s office for reconsideration. She said she
would also notify the complaints committee of the incident.

�If any of my deputy prosecutors did that, I would discipline them, and
for that, I�m going to discipline myself. This would serve as a reminder
that professionalism is important. I will take up going through ethics
training. �I�m going to take it,� she explained.

�I have been humiliated by my own stupidity, and I take full
responsibility for it. Please forgive me so I can make it up to you.�
