some EU. Just shared it with some friends and they got 404

really ? i just read the article. wtf ? what is in there
that would justify blocking it ? just another proof that
technology that was once created to go after the bad
terrorists and such always ends up being used on John and
Jane Doe.

but at least in this case it seems to be single countries
blocking a content which is perfectly reachable from other
countries. which is bad enough.
in the case from op it seems that one provider/techfirm
shall block something globally because one country requests
it. will be funny if the internet will only show things that
all nations in the world can agree on. wonder what that
would be...

lets make a list of things that would be gone from the
internet from one day to the next:

-all kind of porn (because of countries like Iran and
Saudiarabia)
-all kind of drugs, including alcohol and tobacco (same as
above)
-all cases of conflict between countries, because of the
respective other country (so: no Israel and all its
neigbours, no North/South Korea
-all kinds of betting sites plus online poker and so on

and all the people searching for this would come to the
darknets...
hey, this would not be so bad...
