Qubes OS ipv6 tip

Part of the ipv6 is derived from ipv4 using hex. If your ipv4 comm is:

10.137.4.20 32 10.138.0.16
a conversion to hex looks like a.89.4.14 and a.8a.0.16

ipv6 EUI64
same4all::a89:414 128 same4all::a8a:16 (notice that leading 0 is skipped)

To get same4all you can enable ip6 in sys-net
dom0 terminal:
qvm-features sys-net ipv6 1
Start or restart sys-net.

Disconnect sys-firewall from sys-net
Start or restart sys-firewall
The network icon appears on the top bar in green. Hot connect (no restart) sys-firewall to sys-net. Go to the green network icon and edit connection ipv6 and you can see same4all.

Under normal installation you can get this info with the vim editor from directory etc/lib/xen but if you for some security reason used externally btrfs-convert or xfs-convert or hammer file systems that info might not be visible with ease (used to work in Qubes 2 but it stopped working for a while in 3, I don't know the current status)

This simple tip is provided as a plug to retrobbs.i2p for all the people that are censored from regular OS forums. If you find it on the clear-net with a regular search engine, than you should join i2p and write it on retrobbs.i2p. We (means trw) at retrobbs.i2p do understandQubes OS ipv6 tip

Special thanks to Sven the super vigilant censor from Qubes OS. Without you this tip would have appeared on Qubes OS forum.

Yes 4.20 was not a random pick!
