Ronstadt has a strong hispanic heritage and has always been proud of
it, the casting of Gomez doesn't seem "woke" to me at all.

That's what I thought as she even released a Spanish language album.
So I don't see a problem from that standpoint. Though I do agree she's
going to have a real problem matching Ronstadt's vocal performance.

vocal competence isn't necessary.
